    Firefly (tv series)

I've just finished watching the entire Firefly series on blu-ray, and then Serenity, the related movie that came along soon afterwards. The series was actually a little better than the movie, in my own opinion. For those of you that haven't seen them, I highly recommend checking them out, especially if you are into outer space science-fiction.

The story, musical score, special effects, and cast were all great, and the characters grew on me very quickly. I really hate that this show only lasted for a single season, but Fox reportedly preempted several episodes with various sports shows, and they showed the episodes out of order from what the writer/director had intended, causing low viewer ratings. I'd love to see this show come back to life, if that could ever be possible.

Overall, I'd have to give this show at least an 8 or 9 out of 10 score.

Firefly was Babylon 5 good. And that's high praise indeed from me!

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

Firefly was fantastic. Truly a pity it was cancelled so prematurely.

I've still never seen a single episode of Babylon 5 but keep hearing that it was very good so I need to check it out. Wish it and the movies were available in blu-ray from Netflix, though.

B5 is a wonderful series, however it sort of just faded out like Firefly. FF is way better though!!!

B5 is somewhat contraversial among sci-fi geeks. When it was actively broadcasting there were those who swore by it and those who swore at it. Do check it out though. You might like it.

For anyone that might know, I've noticed there are quite a few different Babylon 5 movies on DVD. Do they need to be watched in any certain order along with the series, or can they be watched at anytime, with or without the series and still make sense?
