    Newbie here

I've just registered in this forum. I've been using Linux since September 2009. Tried several distros, but I chose to use Ubuntu for my notebook and Mint for the desktop PC.

Btw, I want to know if there's any IDE for C/C++ programming language for Linux, especially Ubuntu. I'm majoring in information technology and I think I need an IDE for Linux, since it's quite annoying to reboot the computer only to boot into Windows every time I need to compile the source code and make it into .exe file.

    Hi,
    welcome aboard.

When I was young, I used to fancy NetBeans as my C/C++ IDE . But I gradually found that I am happier with a simple syntax highlighting text editor.
Debian GNU/Linux -- You know you want it.
