    Just noticed something...

The poll already has well over 200 views, but we only have 16 votes. I feel pretty sure that more than 8 out of 100 are using GRUB, so I wonder if this might mean that lots of users have no idea which version they are using?

If so, a "Don't know!" option should probably have gone into the poll. I'll check right now to see if there is a way to add it.

Edit: ...just added a "Don't Know!" option.

Good call, oz. For those that don't know but would like to, execute
    Code:
    grub --version

Well, there's also the chance that some aren't using Grub at all. Vector defaults lilo still and those running live CD's are technically running isolinux (or syslinx if off USB), and you might even get the occasional nut fake dual booting with loadlin still.

Just wondering, if anyone knows... are there any distros other than Ubuntu that currently use GRUB2 by default?

Just figured I would try to look it up... and I'm fairly sure that it's incomplete, but here's a few on Distrowatch that at least include Grub2.

Ubuntu 9.10 keeps me using Grub 2, I must say I prefer Grub Legacy, was it not only for the fact I know how it works (maybe overwriting Gentoo's grub over that of Ubuntu, triple booting Gentoo, Ubuntu and Win 7).
