Are Sager/Clevo laptops any good??
I have been searching for a new laptop and want to spend about 2000$. Originally I wanted to get the macbook pro and run linux mint. I have been doing other research because I want to get a computer I will really like. I discovered Clevo/Sager laptops and they are very powerful and are also in my price range. I did some research on resellerratings .com and alot of people were very angry with their computers and tech support. One thing I was thinking that maybe only the people who have a bad experience even bother giving them any kind of rating at all and now im undecided on what kind of laptop I want to buy. thanks in advance.

All I know about the older Sager/Clevo laptops was that Alienware was rebranding them with their logo/case and selling them as gaming Laptops. Which put them out of my budget so to speak (I am a cheapskate when it comes to computers). My money is tied up in motorcycles.
I am not hip on how dependable/durable they are. Maybe other members have more knowledge of this.Linux Registered User # 475019

I've tested a couple of Clevo laptops in the past, and while they tend to be good deals (cheap given the specs), their build quality is below average. The keyboards cheap, the LCD screens sub-par, etc.
