If you sit back for a few and give it some thought... I think it might make all the difference in how you think of an 'animal'.Jay

Actually, a lot of hamburger comes from culled Holstein dairy cows. I grew up on a dairy farm. We milked Holsteins so we always raised a couple steers for meat. Holstein meat actually isn't bad. Angus meat, on the other hand, is so fatty I can't stand it. No wonder America is obese.
What's wrong with eating a pet? I had a pet pig growing up and he was quite yummy. Pets aren't friends they're pets. My parent's have a dog that annoys me so much I just might eat her someday (just killing her would be a waste).

I can almost agree.....
My pets aren't friends... they are, however, family.
'A strong ox is not truly an animal, but a member of the family.'
I think all that I can say on this point has been said. It seems like now we may just be hashing over the differences between cultural biases.
I'm out.Jay
