Will Someone Please Invent Linux Mail!!

Ads, ads, ads, and more ads all over websites and free email. Both gmail and yahoo mail are weighed down with crappy ads. I realize that the ads pay for this " free stuff " but I, for one, would gladly pay for, or subscribe to, a linux email that was totally free of all of the aggravating ads!!

You should try using the email you got from your ISP, every ISP I have ever had, including dial up, offered free email addresses. Then use an email client like Evolution or Thunderbird and you will have no more ads unless you get spam.
I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

Lavabit.com offers an ad-free and no-cost webmail account.

I use it as my main email account these days because it's fast and has no ads, but also because it is email without any of the bells and whistles that so many other webmail clients come with. It's pure and simple, and that's why I like it.

Unfortunately, it sounds like they might not be allowing any new account sign-ups right now:

I've been planning to create another account there, so if I should find them taking new accounts again, I'll post back here with an alert so you can sign up as well.

I have gmail and access it using claws-mail client so I don't see any ads, all I had to do was enable pop on the account like this. Can't remember if I had to tick boxes to stop google sending ads ...

Unfortunately, I have been forced to cease viewing some websites entirely because of all of the ads. Some websites have flash ads that hurt my eyes and start a headache. Some ads are just insulting to human intelligence!!

Like the spammers, I wish the ads would disappear altogether!!
