Non-techy Girl has techy Boyfriend. Birthday gift ideas?

    Hi everybody,

Being new here, I'm sorry to start with a question, having no contributions whatsoever. But I hope you'll share some of your ideas.

My boyfriend is a big Linux/OpenSuse/computers fan. Works in the domain as well.

So his birthday is coming. Since we are together for a few years already, i've used up my imagination: last year there was a Tux droid, the other years some personal stuff or traveling gifts.

What can you advise me on this topic? Are there some Linux/OpenSuse conferences in Europe to which I could subscribe him? Or maybe some techy fairs? Or some new related gadgets on the market? or some other non-related ideas?

I would really like to make his birthday special, but with so few knowledge of the domain of interest for him, is kinda hard.

As far as gadgets go, ThinkGeek.com has a plethora of geek-related stuff, both Linux-oriented and just for the all around geek.

I always thought that getting a Cray for my birthday would be pretty cool.
