    I think the best way to find out is for you to run them both and make your own comparisons. There are many differences e.g. visual, default apps, config tools etc, but there are also many similarities.

    Are you asking about the enterprise versions or the free versions?

    Either way, the biggest difference is the package manager that they each use. If you are wondering which one you might like the best, you'll need to try both to ever know for sure which one best suites your computer hardware and personal tastes in a distribution.

    Many thanks all. Does Suse well suit the database like Oracle, in comparison with Redhat?

    Yes it does. Basically what you can do on Red Hat can be done on SUSE and other Linux distributions.

    IMO Yast is what separates SuSe from Red Hat type systems.
