    The presence of SuSE should have nothing to do with Windows Hibernating.

    The only possible explanation I can think of is that either (1) Windows was hibernating to a drive that no longer exists because you deleted it in the installation, or (2) Windows doesn't have enough free hard drive space to hibernate.

    So check that hibernate is configured correctly on the windows side.
