If you look on their site, they state they're redoing the study materials. Not much they can do about the outside agencies listed as far as their materials are concerned, although they do show some are in the process of redoing theirs.

    Dear "blob84":

On the LPI website there is a section tab called "training".

Prominently displayed there is a link called "Study Materials" which has another link called "NEW: Exam Preparation Resources for Revised LPIC Exams!"

Unfortunately I can't submit a direct link on this forum (NOTE TO SITE EDITOR: if people are allowed to make critical anonymous posts then others should be able to respond with helpful urls)

It lists material only published since we released our new objectives (i.e. April 2009) -- less than a year old (perhaps, your post wasn't serious or your grandmother is less than a year old)

Yes, few are free, but as "retired1af" pointed out in response to your post we do not produce exam preparation material--just the exams. We let the market produce these materials. Alternatively you could study the objectives--which are also available on our website or as many do study the "man" pages of your favourite Linux distribution.

Finally, if you are looking for assistance you can write to us at info@lpi.org--we'll be glad to help. Alternatively you could join lpi-discuss (again I can't post the url) -- there are hundreds of experienced people there who would gladly offer their assistance.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
