Monitor Sizes and Video Resolutions
Guys, I'm curious about the sizes of the computer monitors that you are all using these days and the video resolutions that run on them. Also of interest would be the resolutions that you use in the console if it is different from the one you use when running the Xserver/GUI.
If you have several monitors and use different resolutions, feel free to post them all.
Thank you for your input!

My desktop has a 19" @ 1280x1024 TFT. Right after GRUB it boots with this native resolution and keeps it for both console and X11.
The same for my 12" @ 1024x786 laptop.Debian GNU/Linux -- You know you want it.

I've never gotten a comfortable dual-screen going on my Arch setup, so the only screen I have is 1044x900 max. supported resolution. I keep it at that in X and use 1028x768 for freamebuffer/console.

I've got 2 17" CRT's, both run as 1280x1024 in X, consoles I leave as plain old text mode VGA.

Hey, thanks for the replies, guys!

I'm especially curious to see if wide-screen monitors have taken over the landscape, or if there are lots of standard width monitors still in use.
Thanks again!oz

Interesting point about widescreens - I have a total of 5 displays for 4 machines and 4 of those are widescreen, but interestingly my most used and favourite is still my oldest 15 (normal aspect) inch TFT!
The screens:
2 x laptops with 15.4 inch widescreen at 1280x800
15 inch normal aspect 1024x768
19 inch widescreen 1440x900
Also in the office they got me an iMac with 24 inch widescreen (would much rather have Linux) at 1920x1200, but this is way to big when I have to sit about 2 feet away to reach the keyboard - gives me a headache after a few hours!!

My main desktop currently has a 22" widescreen running at 1680 x 1050. I often have two of those on there running at 3360 x 1050 but the other monitor is attached to my server at the moment.
My laptops are
17" widescreen @ 1440 x 900 and 15" widescreen @ 1280 x 800
I tend to leave the console at whatever the default is.If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate! (Zapp Brannigan)
My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

I have a 24" Widescreen at home but for some unknown reason I cannot get it to display 1920x1200 using the DVI connection even when both the card and the monitor state that it is possible. So I'm running at 1440x1050. In CLI I'm running 1920x1200
