I am looking for Ubuntu Book Recommendations.
I read one book on Ubuntu server administration, but It did not dive in as deep as I was hoping. It only had a few pages on configuring network interfaces and network bridges.
I am looking to starting Ubuntu development, because open source is amazing.
What is the best way to develop for Ubuntu?
What is the best programming language?
What is the best library for this programming language?
is object oriented c++ the only way to develop on ubuntu?
What are the best books for Ubuntu programmers?

If you want to get involved your best bet would be to check out their forums where the Developers are, etc.

Do you know which book will allow me to understand linux file permissions very well? And all the networking interfaces.
Linux administration is very complex, and all of the books I have found so far just barely scratch the surface.

If it doesn't have to be an actual book, you can find mounds of information about Linux file permissions with some online searching. In fact, we host an article on it here at LinuxForums.org that might help:
