    Has anyone tried Igelle?

I am running the desktop edition in my test bed vm and it seems quite nice. I haven't figured out how to turn off my pet hate - autologin: A security hole bigger than Human stupidity!

No, I've not tried it but did read up on it, and it is an interesting looking distribution. I'm thinking they might be going a bit far out on the limb on their about page when they declare that it's not vulnerable to security issues, though:

    SECURE AND STABLE

Igelle is built on top of proven open-source technologies that are stable, secure and widely tested. Igelle is not vulnerable to viruses or malware, and provides a computing environment focused on the task at hand.

True although there are no viruses that affect Linux in 'the wild' and the manual log in makes it harder for malware to attack the system.

I have contacted them about that. It will be interesting to see what they say.

There have been one or two exploits in the wild for Linux. The most famous was a trojan hidden in a theme from Gnome Look. All it did was display a message and phone home but it was a successful exploit. It was taken down quickly when it was reported so credit to Gnome Look for that but it does show that Linux isn't immune to malware.

Perhaps you should say something like "Igelle is not vulnerable to Windows viruses or malware" and that way you have covered yourself.

Right... "not vulnerable" and "not as vulnerable" can be two very different things.
