    Fedora 13, OSS 3D Drivers

I read on Ars Technica today that the latest release of Fedora included a couple of open-source 3D drivers for Nvidia and ATI. Has anyone tried them? Any reports from the field?

If by 'open source nvidia drivers' they mean noveau, then it isn't really a 3d driver as the noveau wiki says:
2-D support is in fairly good shape with EXA acceleration, Xv and Randr12 (dual-head, rotations, etc.).
Any 3-D functionality that might exist is still unsupported. Do not ask for instructions to try it.
But it's getting there, so it won't be long.

That's the same driver that Ubuntu 10.04 uses. It does a good job in 2D

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.
