    That will allow me to install with a single account of root only. I understand that this is not secure I am willing to take the chance. I am also well aware of su, sudo. I 'm just tired of having to type su and passwords all the time. Please understand that I am not trying to be rude, but if you cannot help me with what I am asking please just disregard. thanks the biggamma

    Puppy and NimbleX and it's been a while since I have ran Zenwalk. I remember Zenwalk allows root login besides user login,

    I keep one terminal window open at all times, logged in as root and usually a separate tab for normal terminal user. This way, you can avoid all the hassles of su -, sudo, blah blah blah. It's dangerous though and you need to be careful.

    Doh, I forgot to mention after reading T Bobs post. That I have a root terminal option also in AntiX also.

    Ubuntu has a Root Terminal app.
    Just go to to "system"....."preferences"...."main menu"....."system tools" and mark "root terminal" to install and enable it.

    Then you can add a shortcut to it in your tool bar.
    That way you won't need to always type in sudo and your password.

    I really don't recommend this or anything that opens you to security holes but hey!, It's what you are asking for.
