Though I am particularly happy with this outcome I also wish that the original accusation had been addressed and resolved. Originally SCO accused IBM of mis-appropriating UNIX code into Linux. Though many of SCO's claims were rubbished in court they were never fully dismissed.

Though extremely unlikely, imagine a recently purchased Novell re-aligning its business model to aquire licensing monies from "mis-appropriated UNIX code". Essentially we would be back at square one.

On the other hand maybe I'm just a touch too paranoid.
