I've reached the end of the internet, and couldn't find anything good. The tubes just aren't producing what they usually do.New to the internet, technical forums, or the hacker / open source community??

We're into Open Source around here. If you cant find the Jokes you need, you should consider writing your own. If you don't want to start from scratch, you could always find someone else's half-written joke and build on their project...

What to do when bored: Install a stupid program that trashes your box then you have the challange of restoring it. Not by reinstalling, really fix it. Works every time.

For momentary relief, a real story:
Our computer user group did our annual fundraiser this weekend, serving coffee and cookies at a Washington rest stop. I took a couple of non-member friends with me to help, and my friend Rick was cracking wise the whole shift. For example, he assured a young woman that it was ok to toss her plastic bottle into the trash since he would be going thru it and picking recyclables out at day's end. Whether she believed him or not, she trashed it. "Can you believe it? She really thought I'd be picking thru the trash?!" Day goes on, more of same. Finally, he was joking about our coffee service being a union shop, and we'd be taking a 30 minute break after working 10 minutes. The woman who was getting coffee at the time shot back, "Oh did we tell you? You're laid off." The rest of us roared in response to the fact he'd at last met his match.

I would suggest that you write some letters to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and express your appreciation of their efforts to keep our country free.....
