There are a couple of minor issues here.

1. if you want to talk to other Linux users, you can use the private message facility on this board to talk away from the forums, this is a much better method to share your personal id's for jabber or msn.

2. we'd be much happier if you'd ask technical questions on the forums here - that way any answers are public, and will be available to others who might need the same help.

I totally agree with Roxoff... questions and answers having to do with the technical aspect of Linux do nothing for the other members if they are hidden away in private messages or on some instant messaging service. All help requested and provided is far more useful when it's exposed on the forums so that all Linux users can benefit from it, hence the short message in my signature about posting all computer help requests in the forums.
