    Hi

    Hi,
Just a quick intro from me as a new member. I've been using linux, mainly Fedora, for some years now - since FC3 - after becoming disillusioned with Windows and looking for something stable. At 58 I suppose I'm an old bag in the IT/tech world but hey, if I'd been born in February in a leap year I'd only be 14! My work entails web and database development and linux rapidly became a natural choice from available operating systems. Unfortunately once I've set up a machine with web sever or database or samba, I leave well enough alone and don't go much deeper. And then I have issues with desktops or laptops when I try something new. So I joined this forum

Welcome to the forum. Visit the age poll and you will see 58 isn't unusual (I'm 59). Glad to have you with us.

    Welcome!

A lot of us are here because we became disillusioned with Windows. (I'm about to post about my 'adventures' with a Windows 7 netbook.)

You'll also find there's many of us older folks here. Read the age poll and the post "Hi I'm old (61) but new" here in the coffee lounge.

And I see MASONTX beat me in posting.
