    O'reilly's Linux/Un*x SA Course

Hi, I am looking for a good course on Linux System administration that will also give me certification on the subject.

I came across O'reilly's School of Technology and saw they have a course on it that seems like it might be worthwhile. Especially now given a 50% sale on the course. I am really interested in getting the certificate because I feel it would look nice on some resumes including college(i am a junior in high school).

I would like to know anybodys opinion on whether I should enroll in it given someones experience with O'reilly or if someone knows a better program for me to partake in.

    Thanks!

I don't know about their courses, but they generally have good books.

Seconded, their books are better than most.

From what I have seen, though, when looking for jobs everyone seems to want the CompTia stuff - A+, Net+, Linux+. It might be more expensive to go the Linux+ route, but willing to bet that more organizations are going to be looking for that.

But something is better than nothing and O'Rielly Linux cert. would look better than no Linux cert

Yeah I do enjoy their books which is what got me interested in the cousres in the first place.

I'll look into CompTia like Miller said but I somewhat limited on expenses.

    Thanks for the advice.
