    Hi all,

I want to develop my own Linux. From where can I get the free source code of basic linux so that I can make the changes in that code accordingly?

    Thanks

Do you mean the kernel, or do you mean the entire distribution.

The kernel only is Index of /pub/linux/kernel/v2.6
For a complete distro I'd look at the Linux from scratch book, as it provides the url's to the different tools. The url's are subject to change, so the url's in the book might be depricated, and so it is up to you to use google (or any other search engine) to find the source code. I personally find the project website a good place to start searching. Otherwise you can take a look at sourceforge.

I wish you the best of luck.
