Post Wrote a little article about rootkits on Linux, criticism required

Hello! I've just finished writing a work about rootkits on Linux (and their detection in particular). Well, it's obviously in a beta (or even alpha) state, so I would like to receive some criticism, preferably argumented =) If everyone is interested, here is the link to the PDF:
    gitorious.org/low-level-approach-to-linux-rootkits/linux-rootkits/blobs/raw/master/root.pdf

    and the repository itself:
    gitorious.org/low-level-approach-to-linux-rootkits

    Thanks in advance!
PS Sorry for the raw links, it's just that I don't have 15 messages yet.

Very interesting subject. The technical stuff and code is somewhat beyond me, but I could slightly smooth out the English of the introductory sections if you like.

Thanks! Yes, I think that the introduction looks somewhat strange, and now I am looking for the ways to fix it, though it may take a bit of time. And how does the rest of the work look in terms of English?

Here is an zip file (which is actually an odt) of sections 1 and 2 with corrections. I've used OOo's "record changes" facility to show more clearly what I have done. I don't think I've changed the meaning anywhere. The rest is probably a bit too technical for me but I have noticed a straightforward error at the top of p.3, where you have "catched" instead of "caught".

OK, here's the rest of my suggestions. There are a few spelling mistakes (you probably don't have an English spellchecker available) but it's mostly a matter of phrasing - things that just aren't idiomatic. Otherwise it's a brilliant bit of work.

Oh, thanks again! You were right - the spellchecker found a bunch of errors in the text (I will be using flyspell mode from now on). Now I am integrating your corrections, so I will update the repo when I finish. Thank you!
