Silverlight... Microsoft Strikes again!
Just installed Garmin Communicator with no problems in Wine, for FireFox. I don't want to use IE, it is too unsecure
I just tried installing Silverlight, so I can watch Netflix. I swear, Microsoft puts code in their essential drivers and programs to detect whether it is being run in Wine, then shuts it down, if you're using Wine.
Microsoft just shot me in the leg!

They will strike again and again for as long as there are web services relying on their proprietary codecs. And these web services will keep using these codecs for as long as customers accept them.

putting aside the 'Microsoft wants to be a pain' sentiments, Silverlight is still superior to Flash simply because
1. Their documentation. Very detailed. I like.
2. Silverlight for Linux is available (Moonlight) natively in both x86 and x64
3. Performance just seems to trounce Flash.
Now, if only Microsoft would stop being a pain with its usage, this would be one technology from Microsoft which I would happily use without complaint.

Both of you guys: All true!
Yeah, Flash is muddy compared to Silverlight/Moonlight. Even on my laptop (not made for high graphical performance).
