    Hello everyone,

I just signed up and got the nice welcome message from ozar.

I stopped using Windows in 2005. That was the year I started using Linux. In 2005, I found a MEPIS live CD in the back of the book Point & Click Linux by Robin Miller-- the book was in the public library. I liked MEPIS so much that I installed it in 2 computers, a desktop IBM (IntelliStation M Pro) and a laptop IBM (Thinkpad R51). I also use sidux in another desktop.

I'm currently using MEPIS 8.5. I'm no expert in Linux so now and then I rely on help in the friendly, busy MEPISlovers.org forums.

I'll soon post something in the Linux apps forum because I can't get Audacity to make a recording for me.

    See you in the forums

    welcome
well you got a good distro to start on with mepis
I currently have a collection of 200 or more distros
and they cover a wide variety of tasks and styles

if you have mepis ver.8.5 you have a distro that will do almost anything a person could want.
there are a tremendous amount of apps already in the distro and many, many more you can download for it
