NOTE: When I refer to Longhorn here, I don't mean Vista's code name. I mean Vista as it was before it had its development reset to a slightly different base & had most of its new features axed. Many refer to this as, "Longhorn," since Vista was still under that code name at that time.

Okay, let's cut the introductions & get down to business:

New Beginning is an recent OS with a history that dates back to my failed Infinite project, (of which later versions of NB are based off of,) which dates back to the Longhorn Linux project I kind of participated in.

Anyways, the foundation for the project is that I believe Longhorn Linux isn't exactly working out to well, (in terms of actually being Longhorn; in terms of fandom, it's fine,) no offense to the Team, I can see where the problems are coming from, & there's really nothing you could do to help it.

Anyways, back to the foundation: Besides, shouldn't we be done complaining about Longhorn by now? After all, many LH veterans, (of which I'm not exactly one of,) feel this way. Well, what I have to say to them is, "Well, is Longhorn resurrected enough for us to feel that way, yet?"

So, here's what NB is gonaa do: The plan is to bring almost everything from Longhorn, (feature alternatives, not UI - UI's new,) & add more never included in an OS before stuff at the same time. Something that might seem hard to do at first, but, hey it's happening.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyways, the first Linux build, (it was originally built off Windows, with only 1 build released from those days - I do NOT endorse dl'ing it, as it's piracy,) released a few days ago.

Some features:
1. PyTagsFS, Command Line WinFS Alternative.
2. Cooliris, Phodeo Alternative.
3. Wobbly Windows + Glass Windows Enabled by Default, Alternatives to main DCE & DWM Stuff.
Here's where Non-LH Stuff Comes into play:
1. Chrome OS' Version of Chrome. The main thing about this is the fact that there's a special tab for Chrome Apps, which already have some integrated b4 they're even released.
2. TDFSB. Imagine 3D Pods hovering over a 3D Tron Floor is your folders.
And here's the big coming soon one: Eventually, the plan is to include my dream project. Why not start now? Because an essential piece of the puzzle won't be possible, if ever, unless something happens, but the probability is that it will happen, AND at the end of this year. Frankly, I don't wanaa start this until that piece can be implemneted.

Anyways, dl:

"Source:" depositfiles. com/en/files/4ummgrxdt (Remove space between depositfiles. & com - Not allowed to post urls due to being a Linux Forums Newbie...)

Based on Infinite, (as I said before,) which is based on Longhorn Linux Milestone 2 Beta 2.

Hope ya'll enjoy this OS as much as I enjoy it, (Not just making it!)
