    First linux for me.

Hi, I, for some reason cannot see the forum message I put on before. I got brilliant help and advice on it. Maybe, I don't know, but I logged in using win xp, this was before I actually installed my Linux system. So I just want to say to the Guys who helped me, thank you so much. I have today installed Unbuntu. It went on quite easily for a Noob. Suffice to say, I now need to learn a bit more about it.

    Cheers.

    welcome to our forum
    ubuntu is a good choice!

but don't be afraid to try other linux distros
you can download the iso and burn them to cd or dvd
but remember to burn them as an iso file
live cd's are a great way to try them out

    First install

Thank you Guys. I must admit, it is still a very daunting experience for me. I do not, at the moment seem to be able to get my head around the linux typing commands. Sorry if I sound like a Wuz. But I am still going to continue having a go at Linux, whilst keeping my XP to one side.

    Cheers
