    I've been a Linux user for over 10 years. Up until ~3 years ago I worked at a national lab and these folks called "sys admins" took care of everything. For the last 3 years I've worked at a small company where we do it all ourselves, just like most of you out there. I installed my first Linux then (Ubuntu 7.10) and found out how little I know. I just joined Linux Forums today because I had questions regarding "at" and "nice" -- posted in "misc" -- that were too general in nature for the Ubuntu forums. Amazing how I could can work on Linux systems for years and still have questions like these that are so basic. Anyway, I glad you guys are here. I look forward to hearing from you and contributing when I can.<br>
