I've never used it and have never heard of it, but it appears to be developed in Spain and it does have a listing at DistroWatch.

Well, I appreciate Stallman, FSF and the work they've done, but it is not easy to run only free software on most machines. More power to you if you're able, though.

I wonder if Techiemoe has ever reviewed this distro?

Hi,
I've been running Trisquel for a few months now. It's good, one of my favourites, but I don't recommend it if you want to look at Flash videos. There are workarounds for looking at Flash, but they sound like more trouble than they are worth. I don't miss Flash - Personally I find the poor quality of Flash is only surpassed by the rubbish people use it for.
Trisquel handles other videos quite well.
The kernel will always be a little behind the latest release - which usually doeesn't matter.
If you're using Gnu/Linux, you are relying on the work of Stallman and the FSF. Without them you'd be stuck with the monopolists. I think a little gratitude would be in order.I will never use any distro which is endorsed by Ruchard Stallman and his bunch of fanatics over at the FSF.

That's where you and I are different then.
Unlike many, I personally consider Windows to be a great OS and have completely no qualms about having to use it when needed.
What does rub me the wrong way about Windows is that it is super BORING (same interface for, what, 10 years with only more polish added with new releases) and the license is quite costly.
I use Linux (relieaze i purposely chose not to add the GNU) only because most of the distros are gratis. Libre is not in my interests: i got better things to do than worry about 'freedom is power'.

Cousinlucky,
Why not find a partition for it and give it a try? I was pleasantly surprised.
@Etna
The original poster asked for info from anyone who had tried Trisquel. As you haven't then it's hard to see how your opinions can help him much, or what place they have in this thread.

How is this different from GNUSense? Libre, based on Ubuntu... Can someone give me a heads up?

Trisquel is based on Debian squeeze/sid.How is this different from GNUSense? Libre, based on Ubuntu... Can someone give me a heads up?
GnewSense on Ubuntu 8.04.
The kernel is much more up-to date (2.6.31-22 as opposed to 2.6.24-27)
I prefer the appearance of Trisquel - personal view only of course.
Haven't booted gnewSense for a while, so I can't remember all the details of it.
Incidentally, I'm in Trisquel now.
My strength is as the strrength of ten
Because my kernel's pure.
