careers in linux + security?
this past year or two i have been indulging in linux more and more each day. i know i want to do something with linux as a career (as opposed to windows) and would like something in the data security/network security area. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on certificates/schooling needed and possibly some examples.

i suggest that you may be use Linux certification from oracle or Red-Hat .

Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), though it's not Linux-centric and I think it's more penetration/etc than internal works --but you need to know the whole workings when it comes to security
Also, if you get a chance, just ask around at some local colleges,etc.
