    I found something yesterday...

    that the old farts who remember Elite (1984) with fondness will likely like. A lot.

    Oolite is an open source version of Elite with enormous numbers of add ons to make it look gorgeous while playing very very like the original.

    I don't remember the original but didn't get my first computer until 1998. It seems interesting though. It looks complicated to play. I might download it and give it a go. Thanks!
