Pretty much what got me into linux was the talk of terminals & kernels over at precentral.net (as you can tell, I own a pre)
and decided to give this a shot.
I've loved technology for years, using it, buying it, reading about it and taking them apart. (after warranty is over of course.)
I'm not sure why I haven't tried linux before, but I'm glad I took the plunge.

Up next --ripping things open before warranty ends! Perhaps a fatal flaw, but I cannot think of one major electronic doohickey I own which I have not opened, if for no other reason than to see what was going on in there.
Anyway, welcome to the community! This place has helped me out a lot, and curiosity keeps me and many others pushing through.
