How to prepare for RHCE
Hi, I am currently working on windows platform. But, I wanted to chnage my platform. So, I wanted to give RHCE to find new job on Unix.
If I wanted to give the exam on my own i.e. without any training how to go for it?

if you have an old machine lying around unused, you can always download latest version of centos and install it there, then you can play around and learn it
I'm not sure if you can download RHEL without a license, but you may be able to
Other options include setting up a dual boot, or installing under a virtual machine. If you are running a laptop and need wireless support, then I would advise against a dual boot as you will likely have wireless support issues.

Passing the RHCE without training will take a lot of work and practice. You can use Centos and pretty much everything you learn will apply to RHEL.
Practice setting up various services like httpd, Samba, mail, NFS, DNS, etc, under time constraints. You will have access to onboard documentation and the install media during the exam, but not to Google, so you need to be able to do things pretty much on your own, and largely from memory to be able to do it fast enough.
Also practice breaking systems in fixable ways and then fixing them. Blow away the boot sector and learn how to fix it. Learn the mechanics and syntax of grub.
Practice, practice, practice.

Welcome Nitin,
Feel free to ask any query in the respective sections, folks here are more than ready to help.
Glad you decided to use VM.
For that you may wish to use 'Oracle Virtualbox', which is free to use - VirtualBox
Or VMware player or workstation after registering for free -
Download Center for VMware Datacenter and Desktop Products
CentOS is a RedHat Linux based/derived OS sponsored by dedicated community, you may get a great piece of info. here -
DistroWatch.com: CentOS
Good Luck

Virtualization issues in the RHCE exam are likely to focus on KVM. Red Hat has transitioned from Xen to KVM, and now owns the original KVM developer.
If you just want to virtualize RHEL/Centos on a Windows machine, Virtualbox would be a good free choice.

Now What should be my next step to study?
How should I proceed further?

RHCE Changes
All exams are now for RHEL 6.x. Since CentOS has not released a 6.x version of this writing, you will need to get a trial version of RHEL 6.x, or used Fedora. I am not sure which Fedora version is the closest match to RHEL 6.x.
