    I am HMW

    Hello!

As per instructions in the welcome PM, here I am!

Have been using GNU/Linux for about 2 years now. I am not at all a power user, but I consider myself a ”fan” - and I want to learn more. Most of all though, it's fun! (Yeah, I am a closet geek).

I am currently using Ubuntu and Arch Linux, I like both distros. I dislike the ”my distro is better than yours” attitude, in fact... I despise it. Believe me, there are enough distros out there to satisfy all of y'all!

I don't want to be ”locked in”. I like the freedom of GNU/Linux - the freedom to choose whatever distro I think best fits my needs for a specific computer, or project,

Well, that's about it I guess. I am here to learn more, and have a good time. I hope to be able to give something back in form of support, when and if I can.

    Best regards,

    HMW

Huh, I did not know there was a Stockholm in Texas. Very cool.

LOL! Well, considering the ghastly weather we have up here at the moment, I'd rather be in Texas.

Sadly though, I'm stuck in Stockholm, Sweden... with the snow.

I just like the ”twang” of ”all y'all”.

    Best,

Nah, they just like to think that is so! (Ask a New Mexican or Coloradan -- LOL!)

BTW, I spent over 7 yr in the Lone Star State, fell in love there twice, could've stayed, but need the mountains of where I grew up. So I know from whence I speak! lol!

    Welcome!
