What patents did Novell sell to Microsoft?
So last night I was asked what patents Novell sold to Microsoft and of course I
do not have any idea what patents were sold and what they are used for!!
So here I am at LF again seeking information about this from the folks that

I don't think anyone but Novell, Attachmate, Microsoft, and their lawyers know for sure, just yet. Here's the story on the sale so that you can garner what you can from it:
Groklaw - Novell Agrees to be Acquired by AttachMate; Sells Some IP to a MS-Organized Consortium - Updated
I'd think that Groklaw will be likely to comment on the patents once that info has been released to the public.oz

Well, what those 882 patents are for, I don't think it's public yet. Groklaw is keeping a close eye on it and is reporting as they find stuff out. I think they are a good source to find out first: Groklaw - Digging for Truth
