My Introduction
Hello, I am Edward. was a Windows user at home since my first computer, which had Win98 on it, later also trying nt4, win2k, and Vista, when I found how much hard drive space vista took up as well as how much it used just to install its two service packs. This is when I got fed up, and decided to try Ubuntu 64-bit. Despite some minor things, like having trouble with startups with a USB hub installed, and not waking from sleep (wake from hibernate works great), I have gladly been exclusively using Ubuntu since Jaunty.
I got an A.A. in Computer Science in 2000 and have learned some programming (c, c++, java, vb, html/css/jsp) and currently do work (when I'm employed) in entry-level and as-needed help desk projects.
I have had a website since my days getting my A.A. that doesn't really get a lot of my attention, but helps me keep in touch with new changes in html and css, as well as link to tech forums.
I am very happy to be added onto Linux Forums, and I hope we can all help each other in our ventures.

Ah, Windows 98! That was friendly little system. I still recall it fondly.
One thing you'll notice about Linux is that, unlike Windows, it comes in different sizes. By careful choice of window manager and apps, you can adapt it to old computers with ease. And if you like programming, it has wonderful build tools and programming editors."I'm just a little old lady; don't try to dazzle me with jargon!"
