I have been trying to figure this out for TWO WEEKS...driving me NUTZ...when you mentioned nat forwarding...I went to the VBox headless commands and read up on it...I used the 3389 port to begin with...and when I connected and it asked for a username and password...I KNEW that was it. Printing is working like a champ now. I am SHOCKED that nobody on the VirtualBox user forums saw this and suggested nat forwarding.
