Thanks. As I learn more about GIMP, the better my logos and wallpapers get.
Perhaps I can make a funky logo for this forum!

    My First Minimalist Distro/Setup

    Hi All,

Running this setup in a virtual machine right now but so far I love it. I'm not much for minimalist distros but this one has pretty much what I want. Can't get sound so far but, I'll fix that soon enough

It's Blackbox. A lot of the look of it I configured myself by hand, most notably the GTK theme which I created years ago. I always hide the toolbar in Blackbox because I find it annoying and I set the wallpaper on the root window, so there's nothing fancy going on.

You probably can't see the GTK theme very well, so I took another picture:

Mostly it's the font and the softness of it that make it attractive. I borrowed the engine from XFCE because I like to have smooth edges, and I wrote the theme by hand.

Here's a desktop from Slackbody (Enlightenment). The bar near the top is a launcher for Internet apps. Above it you can see some locations from E's built-in file manager. The box at the lower left is for icons of minimised windows. At the bottom is a "shelf" with pager and clock. The wallpaper is pinched from the Bodhi site.
