The remake of True Grit was far better than I had expected it to be:

    True Grit (2010) - IMDb

It had a number of really good actors, and Hailee Steinfeild as Mattie Ross was much better and more believable in the remake than Kim Darby was in the original, at least in my own opinion. Jeff Bridges carried himself quite well as Rooster Cogburn, and Barry Pepper was great (the best I've ever seen him) as the gang leader, Lucky Ned Pepper.

I watched the sci-fi movie, I Am Number Four, over the weekend:

    I Am Number Four (2011) - IMDb

Not all that great, or bad... but it was probably worth at least a rental or borrowing from a friend.

    Hello and welcome aboard!

I liked the first Transformers movie but didn't like the second one at all... hopefully the third one will be better.

I had a toss up between that and The Next Three Days. Chose the latter.
    Absolutely loved it!

I've seen both and think you made the correct choice as far as the better movie goes.

I watch " State of Play " again with Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck last night.
Earlier in the week I watched A Clockwork Orange again for a change of pace.
I sure wish I had a Director's cut of State of Play because I know they cut
a lot of the movie out!

I liked them both... but I also watched the Transformers cartoon every Saturday morning as a kid.....
My little brother still has the VHS tape recording of the first season of it that I made on a top loading VCR... the one with a wired remote!

I think the commercials were for Kids Incorporated!

And yes... I was one of the kids that wanted to cry when Optimus Prime died!

I watched The Social Network over the holiday weekend:

The Social Network (2010) - IMDb

It wasn't great but not all that bad, either. It probably would have been better if I were a big fan of the various social networking websites, or at least a fan of Facebook.

Worth at least a rental, or borrowing from a friend.
