I have sort of a question
Hey everyone, I'm new to the boards.
I've read the forum rules and I know that bumping of any topic is not allowed. However, I created a thread for a question about a week ago and no one responded. Is there any other website you guys would recommend for where I can get help? I don't want to keep making new threads either, as that would be a nuisance. Oh, and I already posted my question under the Ubuntu forums. Anyone else know of a good help website?
Oh, and I'm not trying to be lazy, I just haven't found any hits on Google.
Thanks for your time.

Hello
We don't have a rule saying that users can't bump their threads. In fact, we recommend that they bump their threads each day or so, when needed to get a response. Adding additional details about an issue being experienced is another good way to bump a thread. That said, bumping very old threads back to the top is generally not a good idea.oz

I must've misunderstood the rules.
Would a week be too old to bump?
