Info on informative speech about Linux

I am seeking information to use in my informative speech as support evidence. To give you an idea of how I want to structure my speech, here is my thesis statement:

The Linux Operating System has manage to evolve into a diverse technology, due to its freedom, functional stability, and its support from a vast community.

I am having trouble finding information that attest to the stability of Linux, other than the NSA's develop of the SELinux standards, as well as, the benefits of a journaling file system.

90% of the supercomputers in the world run Linux.
The highest security systems in the world run Linux (NSA).
The operational model of the Linux/Unix system is inherently more secure than Windows. Why? Because normal users do not have the ability to install/configure operating system software, so if they get an infection, it only affects them and cannot propagate to the system in general. On Windows, your normal user is also an Administrator, so if you get infected, the entire system has been compromised. Also, all Linux web browsers do not allow arbitrary binary code to be executed when visiting a web site. This is not the case with IE and its support for ActiveX controls.

Linux is not impossible to be compromised, but it is a LOT more difficult to do so than Windows. Also, reported security bugs are fixed much more rapidly on Linux than Windows.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
