Ubuntu to Debian
I just realized something. And Idk if anyone else noticed when they switch from Ubuntu to Debian but I find Debian a HELL of a lot easier to work with and use than ubuntu Idk why it just is.
Anyone else find it easier? Or have a reason why it feels easier to work with?

matter of personal preference, I think
I've always liked Debian better than Ubuntu, but it's because I prefer distributions that don't have so many customizations, and Debian gives me that, or at least it did the last time I installed it. Yes, I do find Debian easier to work with, but I still I try each new release of Ubuntu to see what's happening with it.
That said, I can understand why plenty of users might prefer Ubuntu.oz

Well I dont want to start an Ubuntu vs. Debian thing. I just think Debian is more fun to work with. For some reason ubuntu makes me freak out like 10mins after i install. While Debian an hour after install I have it complpetely customized to my liking.

I started with Kubuntu and switched to Debian several months later. Was frustrating at first because, lol, I couldn't get the (long list of expletives) accelerated graphics to work without a GUI to set it up! I've had to learn a few things using Debian. Ubuntu usually makes stuff like that easier to do. On the other hand, my son's a filesystem dev and prefers Ubuntu. I guess most folks eventually find a distro that's appropriate for them and settle in. Dunno if its more preference or habit at this point but Debian is my default OS.
