Linux IRC Channels
I've been really interested in using IRC for learning more about Linux and to engage in discussions with fellow members of the Linux community. I've used IRC only a few times in the past and would like to give it another shot.
So I am searching for some good IRC channels about Linux and I'm curious what channels the folks here at Linux Forums frequent. I found a listing of Linux IRC channels (Linux Online - Internet Relay Chat), but I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of them!
Feel free to share any interesting IRC hang-out spots

There are a lot of Linux and programming based irc channels on the freenode network. The number of channels is indeed overwhelming, but you can start with channels for the distros that you use.

Yup, it appears Arch has multiple IRC channels now and they are all very active. I must say, the folks on these channels really know Linux! Everyone seems to be a Linux sage on here.. Which is great! It just makes me feel like such a neophyte

I hope to continue to learn using these channels.
