    With 2GB RAM, you should be able to run anything. I prefer Linux Mint Debian Edition, but that's a personal preference. Standard Mint will do. It's based on Ubuntu, which is based on Debian, but it's tweaked to get everything to run out of the box. You should be able to install it and have everything work. My advice would be to get the liveCD editions of several distros, burn them to CD or USB drive, and try them out. You can boot from the CD/USB and run the distro live and make sure it works, and that you like the interface. After you decide on one, you can run the installer from the liveCD and put it on your HDD. I ran a bunch of distros from SDHC, for testing, and eventually put the best one on my internal drive. I ran Ubuntu for a long time, until I moved on the LMDE, and they all work, more or less, so it's really a matter of personal preference.

    Yeh I think Ill probably do that, thanks.

    But first gotta go replace my screen, just noticed it has a huge crack down the middle of it
