It's well deserved Hazel. I can't see why someone who writes their own software and compiles FF4 is surprised to become an engineer

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

It's not official, until they've shown you the secret handshake.

You need a couple pens in a pocket protector now, so as to distinguish you from us hoi-poloi, slide rules are optional I've heard.

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

What's the difference between a software engineer and a programmer?

A software engineer knows when they, or others, are full of it.
A programmer is just full of it...

Congrats Hazel. I am a software engineer by profession, even the IEEE says so (not that means much), and I have learned a lot from you. As far as I have been able to tell, you are not full of "it", unless "it" is ability, knowledge hard won, and willingness to help others.

If I buy the wool, do you think they'd make me one, too?

Srsly, congrats. I already considered you an engineer.
