Rocking out in the shop as usual.

    Cult - Love removal Machine

    Quiet Riot- Bang your Head

    Mountain-Mississippi Queen

    Trex-Bang a Gong

AC/DC - If You Want Blood (You've Got It)

    The Troggs - Wild Thing

What can I say? Got the body of a giant/demi-centenarian Nethanderal but the hormoaners of a 16 year old. Besides. I get more work done when I am a Rocking.

We had Sparky and Rhonda Rucker play a house concert at our place this weekend. Great old-time tunes. Their specialty is Civil War era stuff. Good friends for many years. Check them out: Sparky and Rhonda Rucker

It's always a thrill to discover an old gem I never knew existed. Such is the case with this song by the incomparable David Ruffin I found on YouTube just last night! For younger members, David Ruffin was the lead singer for the Temptations from 1964 through 1968 and was lead vocalist on "My Girl," "Ain't Too Proud To Beg" and a host of other songs that are immediately recognisable. Ruffin recorded "What You Gave Me" in 1969 after he left the Temptations. This song is also a perfect example of what we in the Southeastern U.S. refer to as "Carolina Beach Music." It has the perfect feel and tempo...

More for any heavy-metal fans out there. Live footage of Swedish progressive metal band, Opeth. I enjoy this song a lot. Very melodic. I could swear they play in keys and scales used in the renaissance period..

They break into sections with clean vocals and mellow melodies quite often, for those who don't like the roughness of most metal. The singer actually has a pretty good voice!

YouTube - Opeth - The Night and the Silent Water (live - Roundhouse Tapes)

    This song is a epic.

David Ruffin is the man What a voice.

I'm loving Sparky & Rhonda too. Here is a video of these two on YouTube if anyone is interested: YouTube - Sparky & Rhonda Rucker sing Ruben Train. Classic American strumming! Thanks for sharing RubberMan, must of been great to have them over! I bet they're real quality folks.

YouTube - Tron Legacy - Soundtrack OST - 08 The Game Has Changed - Daft Punk

This is my favorite song from the Tron: Legacy score (by Daft Punk). Honestly, I find the music better than the movie, and I like the movie a lot.

I thought I heard something on the radio but my brain told me it didn't happen! So I looked on You Tube and it turns out that it did! Holy cow; the girls got lungs!. I like that better than the version of my youth.
