    Hi All
After years of a (typical?) love/hate relationship with Windoze I am LOVING ubuntu 10.10. Installed it on my two Dell GX260's P4-1.8 2GB ram (dual boot just in case) and Asus eeepc 1005HA 1.66gHz 2GB ram and everything just WORKED right off the bat (ok, the dell with an ATI card has a blank screen after suspend but that's no biggy, that PC is on 24/7 most of the time anyway).

I've downloaded and burnt various distros for my Compaq Armada1750 P2-233 192MB ram (installing Puppy as we speak), got movies from usenet (for archive purposes only Your Honour ) and finally converted mkv's to dvd which actually work ! (and it took less than overnight to process!).

Having read a lot of posts over the years about the frustrations of Linux (let's face it windoze finally worked [for a few days at least] when XP came out) which was actually what stopped me coming across to the the light-side before now, I was pleasantly surprised at how seamless the transition was.

So I just wanted to say THANKX to the community for all your time, dedication, and keep up the good work!
    Cheers,
    nuub
