    My 2nd Anniversary Here

April 4 of last year I thanked LF for these things I learned as I celebrated my first year learning linux with the help of this forums.

    1) Install and update a distro.
    2) Partition and format a HD (Thanks to Gparted)
    3) Basic CLI commands.
    4) Recover deleted pictures and files even from reformatted HDs (Thanks to Parted Magic)
    5) Use the Midnight Commander (When in a hurry)
    6) Recover data from crashed & virus infected systems.
    7) Hide my files.
    8 ) Hack a forgotten passwd
    9) Multiboot my system
    10) Install and use VirtualBox
    11) Rip DVDs (had to include this one)

Yesterday, I celebrate my 2nd Year here.

It is only right and fitting that I publicly thank everyone who have made all these possible. Owners, mods, supermods, etc., and all those who have taken time to help me in all the issues I have faced and even patiently walking me through some problems.

My second year was not as thrilling as the first but as enjoyable just the same.
And so I would like to add the following to the list above:

    1) Transcoding videos using ffmpeg.
    2) Changing file permissions.
    3) Wiping clean an HD using "dd"
    4) And copying whole partitions using "dd"
    5) Use internet in cli "lynx"

FIVE years was my timeline. I have to learn things that can enable to land me a decent job in 5 years. I will continue the struggle. 3 years more, so help me God!

    Thanks everyone!

Has it really been only two years? It feels like you've always been here. And to get to "Linux Engineer" in such a short time is awesome! Ozar may sniff and say that the titles don't mean anything but, as someone said to me, you don't get to have that many posts without having helped an awful lot of people.

Congratulations, Nujinini. We're all looking forward to the next two years.

    Congratulations
2 Years Linuxified are a wonderful achievement already. I am almost a bit envious I'm afraid, before I can go down that route, I'll have to buy a new computer system
Well ... Maybe a small miracle might happen and I might enjoy your support for another at least 2 or 3 years. And good luck on that Job Achievement you set yourself a goal to

sniff-sniff...officially, user titles mean (or don't mean) just what it says here:

    http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/lin...-rankings.html

However, in the interest of freedom of expression, I think they can mean (or maybe not mean) whatever a user wants them to mean (or not mean). Hope that makes sense...

Congrats to you, nujinini, on that second year anniversary!

This clearly calls for a dancing banana for each year that you've completed here, and best of luck to you with that job hunt as you go into the future!

Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement. I am humbled and touched with your show of support.

I would have treated you all to a party if we're not that far away. I guess you just have to be satisfied with some for now.

    regards,
