    1. Which system can be used on a laptop?
    Basically any distro can be installed and used on a laptop depending on your specs.

    2. How do I get my laptop to boot from a flash drive?
    Get this and set Bios to boot priority to USB.

    Also, depending on the computer, you might be able to edit your BIOS to set the first boot device to USB.
