    so what happened to LFS?

i used to hear about that little distro kit, but it seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Is it still being updated? Does it have any suggestions on how to install to netbooks and things like that?

    Hi, Jason!

LFS is an active system, and still has a respectable following!
There are quite a few folks that have a working Scratch system running. Some for servers, some for desktop.

And since it is, after all from scratch, you can get it going on anything you like! Including your netbook.

LFS has been the best resource in my search for building embedded Linux, as well
