It went from $10.00 a year to $15.00 a year and now my domain registration company wants $20.00 a year which I am not going to pay!!

I'd recommend doing some googling to find the best prices, but keep in mind that price isn't everything. That said, most registrars will allow you to register or renew for a longer duration that should offer you significant savings. I usually register all my own domains for periods of 10 years at at time so that I can hang on to some cash in the end.
